Love Those Ears

I can't remember who gave us bunnies one Easter. My folks weren't all that pleased, but my father built cages outside for them. Each had an enclosed wooden shelter with hay, food and water. These shelters could be opened from the top to feed, clean or play with the rabbits. There was a small opening in one end that led into a long wire run. The rabbits seemed to love these homes, even in the snowy weather. They would create long tunnels through the snow that fell into the wire runs. They spent very little time in the warmer wooden enclosures, obviously thriving in the cold.
