This week, my
granddaughter has forsaken her beloved guitar to immerse herself in preparations for her dance recital
on Saturday. The dancers moved from the
classroom to the stage last week and had several rehearsals. They've adjusted their positioning to
accommodate the size difference between classroom and stage. There have been lighting rehearsals, sound
checks and adjustments to the speaker system.
This week the intensity will increase and I'll be packing her evening
meal on several days as practice lasts for four hours or more.
We're all looking
forward to seeing her perform in ballet, modern dance and jazz routines, but I
must confess that Grandma and her taxi service will be ready for a break
when it's all over.
