Christmas Spirit

This little guy appears to have more holiday spirit than I do, despite the green grass and flowers in the background.  While I'm usually happy with southern sunshine, this time of year makes me long for just a dusting of the pretty white stuff.  Perhaps I just need to don a Santa suit to get in the mood for the holidays!

Veteran's Day

In 1988, I visited Washington D.C.  While there, I visited the Vietnam Memorial.  Photos cannot show and words cannot describe the power of this memorial.  Few people who walk it's length are not moved to tears.  Today I am remembering all who have given their lives in service to their country.

Halloween

Cute and not too scary, even in the dark.  Halloween was scary here, due to high winds and flash floods.  The town sensibly asked that all events and trick or treating be rescheduled for Saturday.

Christmas Ambiance

When I was a child, Christmas meant presents. As a parent, it meant lots of shopping and wrapping. Now, I spend far more time listening to seasonal music and enjoying the lights and decorations.

Candlelight
