A friend, who is a professional musician, owns a bass that costs over twenty thousand dollars. Thankfully, it brings him more than sufficient income to justify the expense.
My granddaughter's guitar cost a little less than two hundred dollars and it has served her well for the past three years. Her teacher has suggested that it's getting time for an upgrade and I've caught my granddaughter looking at Gibson SG customs online. She pointed out that there was zero percent financing for two years, then gave me a hopeful look. I'm thinking about it for Christmas. At least it is far more reasonably priced than my friend's bass.
