The smell of cabbage is not a subtle one. The scent from a large cabbage field is far stronger. Lots of people don't consider it a breath of fresh air, I'm sure. I learned to become quite fond of the scent, when my commute took me past several large fields each day. Compared to the smells of expressway fumes, it was indeed a breath of fresh air. Perspective is everything!
