Piggy Olympics

I'm a big fan of piggies, so couldn't resist this pic.  Looks as if the Piggy Olympic judges will have to deduct points for this first guy, as his feet didn't clear the hurdle.  The second one looks as though he will make it.

Burgess Falls

My daughter took this photo, when she and my granddaughter visited Burgess Falls recently.  Wish I was able to walk the steep path down to the falls, but at least I get to enjoy them through her wonderful photos.

Spring Fresh

Nothing beats the look or scent of spring. April gave us weather that left us resorting to air conditioning for a few days, but, fortunately, spring temperatures have returned and we are enjoying open-window weather again.

Mourning Dove

They truly do sound mournful, at least to me. Our cats find their call quite exciting and fight for the best window spot to view them. The doves seem to know that they are safe and frequently stroll by the window, much to the cats' frustration.

Seasonal Diffeences

Here in the southern states, tulip season has come and gone.  When I lived in the north, however, they were at their finest in May.

Slow Down

Humans can take lessons from this little guy, who instinctively knows how to slow down and smell the roses. Or dandelions!

Clover

Clover was one of my favorite childhood flowers. There was an abundance of them in the fields surrounding our home, varying in colors from white to deep pinks. I loved laying back in them and contemplating the clouds above.
